Job summary

Break Charity in Norwich is seeking a committed Children's Residential Support Worker to care for young people in our residential home. This full-time, on-site role offers a base salary within Break’s published range and is supported by funded qualifications and training.

You will join a close team, build trust with residents, and help them overcome trauma while contributing to a caring, stable environment. DBS checks are required and a Level 3 Diploma will be pursued within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 24 months.
• Must hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on day-to-day with the young people in the children’s home.
• Build trusting relationships and be a positive role model.
• Support young people to overcome trauma and develop their identity.
• Work with a tight-knit team and follow Break’s therapeutic services.
• Encourage new experiences and resilience in challenging situations.
• Be patient, collaborative and able to solve problems with colleagues.
