Job summary

Medina County District Library is seeking a dynamic Library Associate for the Children's Department to deliver engaging services to children birth through grade 5. Primary duties include reference, reader's advisory, and processing requests, with responsibilities in planning and presenting programs for children.

The role involves storytimes and outreach to daycare centers, attending school and community events, and assisting in collection maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year experience working with the public preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
• Ability to plan and present programs for children and to work with patrons and staff professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct library services to children from birth to grade 5.
• Perform reference, reader's advisory, and request processing tasks.
• Plan and present children’s programs and storytimes; outreach to daycares and preschools.
