The Hunterdon County Library in New Jersey is seeking an energetic Children’s Librarian to support library services in the Children’s Department. The role involves assisting patrons, providing readers advisory, developing programs, and producing informative materials for the community.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Library Science (ALA-accredited or acceptable by Thomas Edison State College), and a commitment to New Jersey’s First Act.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library Science (ALA-accredited) or NJ-approved program.
• Ability to comply with NJ First Act.
• Valid driver’s license may be required; Civil Service procedures may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide public service in the Children’s Department including answering questions.
• Offer readers advisory services in person and online.
• Plan programs and create service/informational materials.
