Job summary

Bayonne Public Library seeks a Children’s Librarian to engage families and promote library services for young readers. You will assist patrons at the Children’s Room Desk, plan and conduct programs, and collaborate with staff to develop collections and seasonal displays, including outreach to schools.

This full-time role requires an NJ Professional Certificate or an ALA-accredited MLS, residency in New Jersey within one year of hire, and submission of a cover letter, resume, and references by

• Residency in New Jersey within one year of hire per NJ statutes.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons at the Children’s Room Desk and in program delivery.
• Plan and conduct children’s programs (story times, etc.).
