Job summary

The Hunterdon County Library is seeking a full-time Librarian 1 for the Community Library Services Department at our North County Branch in Clinton, NJ. The role involves assisting the public, answering questions, providing readers advisory, helping with computer questions, and planning programs.

Requirements include a Master’s in Library Science (ALA-accredited or NJ equivalent deemed acceptable by Thomas Edison State College); a valid driver’s license may be required; 35 hours/week including

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library or Information Sciences (ALA-accredited) or NJ College program deemed acceptable by Thomas Edison State College.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• 35 hours/week, including some nights & weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide public library services including answering informational questions and readers advisory.
• Assist with computer-related questions (printing, faxing, scanning).
• Plan programs and create service/informational materials.
