Job summary

The Hunterdon County Library seeks an energetic Community Library Services Librarian 1 for the North County Branch in Clinton, NJ. You will assist the public with information, readers advisory, and computer questions, and help plan programs and create service materials.

This full-time role requires a Master’s degree in Library Science, adherence to NJ First Act, and a schedule of 35 hours per week, including some nights and weekends. Benefits include health, dental, and retirement participation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library or Information Sciences from ALA-accredited program or NJ approved program.
• Applicant must comply with NJ First Act.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide public library services at North County Branch in Clinton, NJ.
• Assist with computer questions (printing, faxing, scanning).
• Provide readers advisory in person and online; plan programs and create service materials.
