Job summary

Sticky Fingers Cooking of Northern Colorado is hiring a PRN After School Children's Cooking Teacher to cultivate curiosity in kids while teaching hands-on cooking. The role offers a flexible, part-time schedule with classes typically from 2-5 PM on weekdays.

You'll substitute instructors, travel to local schools, and use provided curricula to engage children aged 3-18, promoting healthy eating and kitchen safety. Fingerprint background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience working with kids of various ages.
• Available to teach 1-hour classes (on campus 90+ mins) 5 days a week between 2-5 PM.
• Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-14 kids.
• Able to commit to teaching sessions that run 4-12 weeks.
• Willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Lift up to 40 lbs to store and transport materials.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to drive.

• Lead Hands-On Cooking Classes: teach kids to chop, mix, measure, and create healthy recipes.
• Spark creativity by introducing new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures.

Sticky Fingers Cooking® of Northern Colorado is looking to hire a PRN (as needed) After School Children's Cooking Teacher to help us Cultivate COOLinary Curiosity in Kids®! If you're passionate about cooking, have experience working with kids, and are looking for a fun, flexible, and meaningful part-time job, we want to meet you! Applications will be accepted until 09/10/2026. This job is perfect for anyone with an open schedule looking to work with children on an as-needed basis. This person must have availability from 2-5 pm Monday through Friday.

Who You Are

• Experienced in working with kids of various ages and backgrounds.
• Available to teach 1 hour classes (on campus 90+ mins) AT LEAST 5 days a week between 2-5 PM, Mondays- Fridays. This role may have some weeks with no classes.
• Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-14 kids. Must arrive on campus 20-30 minutes prior to scheduled class time. Varies per school.
• Able to commit to teaching sessions that run 4-12 weeks.
• Willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Lift up to 40 lbs to store and transport materials.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to drive.

A Day in the Life

As a Sticky Fingers Cooking® instructor, you'll travel to different schools in your area to bring "the kitchen" to kids. Using our tried-and-true recipes, you'll teach them essential cooking skills, food safety, and the history and culture behind each dish-all while fostering creativity and confidence. From slicing and dicing to learning about global cuisines, kids will have a blast in your classes, and so will you!
