Job summary

St. Clair County Community Mental Health in Port Huron, MI is seeking a Grade 7.5 Children’s Clinician - Home Base/Outpatient. This full-time role provides assessments, therapy, and care coordination for children in a trauma-informed, person-centered framework.

Requires a Master’s in Social Work or Counseling and LMSW/LPC licensure within 30 days, plus a valid driver’s license and experience with child behavioral health. A $6,500 hiring bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling.
• Licensed or Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW or LLMSW), Licensed or Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC or LLPC), or ability to become licensed within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize DSM V for diagnostic process.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health treatment procedures applicable to public mental health populations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current and best practices within practice area.
• At least one (1) year experience with behavioral health child recipients.
• Demonstrated ability working with Microsoft Office applications and Windows 10 programs.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessments and diagnostic evaluations; provides treatment services delineated within the Individual Plan of Service.
• Participates in Person Centered Planning and follows through with the plan; provides individual and/or group therapy and crisis intervention as needed.
• Provides education on mental health issues to persons served, families, and support systems; coordinates services with other agencies and monitors utilization.
• Maintains regular documentation; complies with applicable policies and confidentiality requirements.
