Job summary

Waystone Health & Human Services seeks a caring Skills Instructor to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Lawrence, MA, inside their home and in the community. You will help develop daily living skills, support safety, and participate in community activities.

The role is on-site, 3–6 hours weekly with a per diem hourly rate of $21.63, and SEIU Local 509 union membership. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with daily life skills and personal care.
• Able to read, write, and comprehend English to follow care plans and document services.
• Valid Driver's License in good standing; at least 1 year of driving.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals develop skills in community living, including household tasks and social activities.
• Promote appropriate behavior and active community participation.
• Complete forms on medical, behavioral and ISP goals.
• Assist with safety and personal care; support community and recreational activities.

Positions are currently available in the following Massachusetts communities:LawrenceSchedule: 3-6 hours weekly based upon schedule agreed upon with family and supervisor.Compensation: This is a non-exempt, per diem position. The hourly rate is $21.63.
