Job summary

Inspire Early Education in O'Fallon, MO is seeking a part-time bus driver to safely transport children during a split shift (7:00a-9:00a and 2:30p-6:00p, Monday–Friday). A Missouri Class E license with a school bus endorsement and a clean driving record are required.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, safety compliance, clear parent communication, logging daily trips, and handling emergencies if needed. Benefits and inclusive culture are highlighted.

• Respond to emergencies during transit and administer first aid if necessary.
• Communicate with parents about pick-ups, delays, and schedule changes.
• Maintain daily transportation records (attendance, mileage, fuel).

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate the childcare center's bus or vehicle to transport children to and from the center, ensuring the well-being of each child during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Strictly adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including ensuring that children are secured in appropriate child safety seats and seat belts.
• Be prepared to respond to emergencies during transit, including administering first aid if necessary, and evacuate children safely in case of accidents.
• Maintain open and clear communication with parents or guardians regarding pick-up and drop-off times, and any changes or delays in the schedule.
• Maintain accurate records of daily transportation, including attendance, mileage, and fuel usage.

Who You Are

• High School Diploma or GED ( Required )
• Valid Missouri Class E License and a school bus (S) endorsement ( Required ).
• Clean driving record with no history of accidents or traffic violations ( Required ).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive attitude and passion for working with children
• Ability to pass background and health requirements
