Job summary

The J KC in Overland Park, KS is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support teachers in a warm, inclusive preschool environment. This part-time role runs Monday–Friday, 12:30pm–5:30pm, with a focus on health and safety, classroom organization, and parent communication.

Join an amazing team of educators at B’nai Jehudah Child Development Center, a partnership between The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City and The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. B’nai Jehudah CDC is a warm, welcoming, and inclusive community that offers full time preschool care for children ages 12 months through 2 years and full time infant care for ages 6 weeks to 1 year.

The Teaching Assistant helps to provide a safe, nurturing, and exciting learning environment. Teaching Assistants collaborate with Teachers to supervise children, keep the classroom organized, and communicate with parents.

Physical Requirements

Job requires frequent (2-5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying and repetitive motions and occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing and stooping/crouching.
