Job summary

Countryside YMCA is seeking part-time Childcare Teachers to join our caring team in Ohio. You will work alongside Lead Teachers across toddler and preschool classrooms, assisting with planning, activities, and daily routines to support each child's growth while ensuring safety.

We welcome applicants with strong communication skills, patience, warmth, and a genuine enjoyment of working with kids. First Aid/CPR certification is preferred; if not already certified, you must obtain within 30 days of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children preferred; not required.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred; if not already certified, must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside the Lead Teacher to plan and supervise activities.
• Helping with feeding, dressing and daily routines to support growth.
• Encouraging emotional, social, and physical development in a warm environment.
• Observing for developmental concerns and communicating with families as needed.
• Modeling healthy habits during mealtime, rest, and hygiene routines.
• Keeping the classroom clean, sanitized, and ready for kids.
• Tracking daily records: observations, activities, meals, and medications given.
• Participating in annual CACFP training and supporting other duties as needed.
