Job summary

Countryside YMCA's Little Miami Learning Center in Ohio is seeking a Part-Time Teacher to support daily learning and development for young children. You will assist the Lead Teacher with planning, activities, assessments, and supervision in a safe, nurturing setting.

You will help foster emotional, social, and physical growth, monitor for concerns, and apply positive discipline. Training and CACFP responsibilities are part of the role, with opportunities to contribute to a caring classroom

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience working with children preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred; if not certified, must obtain within 30 days of hire and maintain recertification.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teacher with planning, activities, assessments, and supervision.
• Attend to children's daily needs—dressing, feeding, and monitoring play/learning.
• Foster emotional, social, and physical growth with a positive self-concept.
• Watch for developmental or emotional concerns and communicate with families as needed.
• Apply age-appropriate, positive discipline in the classroom.
• Teach healthy personal habits—eating, resting, hygiene.
• Clean and sanitize toys, furniture, and equipment.
• Keep records of daily observations, activities, meals, and medications.
• Complete point-of-service meal counts and CACFP training.
• Take on other classroom duties as needed.

As part of Countryside YMCA — a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility — you'll play a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for the children in our care.What You'll DoYou'll work closely with your classroom's Lead Teacher to support daily learning and development for the children at Little Miami.
