Job description

Position: Early Childhood Teacher

Position Description: The Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for providing a nurturing, knowledgeable, and qualified presence in the classroom. They are directly responsible for teaching children according to the curriculum approved by the Director.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old for infants and toddlers
• High School diploma or GED
• Meet the Colorado state requirements for Early Childhood Teachers
• Submit fingerprints and undergo background checks
• Certified in CPR, First Aid, and Standard Precautions

Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate learning experiences for children and activities sponsored by Victory Montessori and Childcare Center
• Collaborate with staff and church agencies as required
• Model and teach appropriate behavior, courtesy, and dress
• Show genuine interest in children, providing fair, impartial guidance with appropriate humor, while maintaining a professional demeanor
• Post lesson plans visibly for parents
• Monitor the number of children in care at all times
• Follow all regulations from the Colorado Department of Health, State regulations, and local authorities
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as scheduled

*Starting pay ranges from $17.50 to $20 per hour
