Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a dedicated Teacher in Suffolk, VA, to care for children and support their learning. You will initiate age-appropriate activities and follow the curriculum while developing lesson plans for your class.

The role includes managing daily classroom operations and delivering creative, positive experiences for early learners. This full-time position offers shifts Mon–Fri, with a 8:00 AM start and 5:00 PM finish for Toddler Class, and 7:45 AM–4:45 PM for School Age Class.

Qualifications

• Associates level degree required.
• Two years childcare experience required.
• Must be able to drive a 14-person van (School Age teacher).

Full-Time MON - FRI Shifts available: Toddler Class 8a - 5p OR School Age Class 7:45a-4:45p

As a Teacher with Sentara, you will be responsible for the care and learning of children. You will initiate and provide activities appropriate to children in various age groups. The Teacher is responsible for following the curriculum and developing lesson plans for the group of children in their care and manage the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.43 - $30.09 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
