Northstar Preschools is looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Daycare Teacher to join our team! Our teachers create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for early childhood education and enjoy making a positive impact on young children's lives every day.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a safe, loving, and positive learning environment for all children.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities based on our curriculum.
  • Supervise children at all times while ensuring their health and safety.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
  • Encourage social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, daily reports, and classroom documentation.
  • Assist children with meals, diapering, potty training, and daily routines as needed.
  • Keep classrooms clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the day.
  • Follow all licensing regulations and Northstar Preschool policies and procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and administration to provide high-quality care.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working with young children is preferred but not required.
  • 1CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to pass all required background checks. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, patient, positive, and dependable.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
