Job summary

Northstar Preschools in Utah is seeking a caring, energetic Daycare Teacher to join our team. You will create a safe, nurturing environment where children grow socially, emotionally, physically, and academically, following our curriculum and licensing requirements.

You will collaborate with fellow teachers and administration, maintain daily reports and attendance, and support children with meals and routines while prioritizing health and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with young children preferred but not required.
• 1 CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass background checks; excellent communication and teamwork.
• Reliable, patient, positive, and dependable.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities based on our curriculum.
• Supervise children at all times while ensuring their health and safety.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.

• Assist children with meals, diapering, potty training, and daily routines as needed.
• Keep classrooms clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the day.
• Follow all licensing regulations and Northstar Preschool policies and procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities and progress.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and administration to provide high-quality care.
