Mercy Medical Center is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable childcare professional for a part-time/full-time role at MercyOne Child Development Center. The 13-room facility serves children from 6 weeks through 10 years, offering a safe, nurturing environment where kids learn and grow.

The role includes assisting teachers with curriculum and daily activities, and supporting families with important discussions.

Qualifications

• Must have well developed communication skills and strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Must like and be patient with children.
• Maintains a professional, collaborative work environment to foster a positive public image.

Responsibilities

• Actively knows, understands, and demonstrates the organization’s mission and core values.
• Maintains knowledge of laws and policies to ensure ethical and professional behavior.
• Demonstrates customer focused behaviors relating to attitude, privacy, and communication.
• Assists the Teacher with developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Assists in scheduling weekly and daily activities for children.
• Supports teacher in parent discussions.
