Job summary

MercyOne Health System seeks a caring, energetic, and dependable full-time childcare professional for its MercyOne Child Development Center in Dubuque, IA. The role focuses on safety, education, and compassionate care for children from 6 weeks to 10 years, with scheduled daytime hours and a strong emphasis on teamwork and family communication.

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, experience with children, and must complete required Early Childhood Education

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must earn State Mandatory hours of continuing education in Early Childhood Education per year.
Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
One to two years of previous work experience with children is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Supervise children and ensure their safety at all times.
Create a warm, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
Support daily activities and planned events for developmental growth.
Communicate with families to support child wellbeing and progress.
