Qualifications

• Associates degree in Early Childhood Education required.
• CDA or equivalent within program determined by YMCA.
• CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen are required within 60 days of employment and kept current.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with children; 1 year admin and 1 year supervisory preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive YMCA vehicles if required.

Responsibilities

• Spends time on ratio as the teacher/activity leader and assists in planning and evaluation of child care programs.
• Operates program within budget guidelines and maintains enrollment numbers.
• Maintains records for child care programs, facility, and staff; ensures safety and licensing compliance.
• Leads site classroom and fills in other classrooms as needed; ensures staff trainings.
• Communicates concerns to supervisor and participates in staff meetings and parent events.
