Job summary

YMCA of Greater Dayton seeks a Childcare Site Administrator (Lead Activity Leader) in Xenia, OH. This part-time, non-exempt role oversees program planning, safety and development, and day-to-day site operations to support children's growth and well-being.

The role requires experience with children, a CDA/credential path, proper CPR/First Aid, and supervisory capability. You'll collaborate with staff and community partners to create engaging activities while maintaining licensing compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess high school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or university required.
• Must be able to obtain a CDA or equivalent as determined by YMCA Childcare Branch.
• CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen required within first 60 days of employment and kept current.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children with ability to motivate and supervise staff; planning/program development helpful.
• 1 year minimum of office administration and customer service required.
• 1 year minimum of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record required for driving responsibilities; optional otherwise.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office and email applications.

Responsibilities

• Spends time on ratio as the teacher/activity leader.
• Assists in planning, designing, evaluating and implementing all aspects of child care programs.
• Operates program within budget guidelines.
• Responsible for program development, quality and safety.
