Apploi seeks a friendly, experienced cook to prepare nutritious meals for a childcare center. You will plan meals, ensure proper storage and sanitation, log cleaning duties, and assist with ordering and recordkeeping.

Collaboration with staff, families, and funding personnel is essential, along with accurate recordkeeping and adherence to health regulations. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience and ServSafe certification is preferred.

• Plan and prepare meals meeting nutritional requirements.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and sanitation of kitchen and equipment.
• Maintain logs for cleaning duties; assist with food ordering and recordkeeping.
• Work cooperatively with staff, students, parents, and funding agency personnel.
• Possess basic math skills and accurate recordkeeping.
• Stand for long periods; operate safely around stoves and chemicals.
• Deep knowledge of food storage, preparation and handling standards.
• Know how to operate kitchen equipment and cleaning supplies.
• Be familiar with food allergies and cross-contamination prevention.
• Order, procure, and stock inventory of food supplies as needed.
• Communicate with staff, children, and families in a pleasant tone.
• Interpret and follow public health regulations for storage and preparation.
