Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Cook to plan and prepare nutritious, family-style meals and snacks in an early education/childcare center. You will follow approved menus and nutritional guidelines while ensuring a clean, safe kitchen and compliant health procedures.

The role involves managing inventory, ordering supplies from approved vendors, and collaborating with educators and staff to deliver consistent, high-quality daily meals.

Qualifications

• Food service experience in childcare center, school cafeteria, or high-volume setting is preferred.
• Completing a food handler certification within 30 days of hire is required.
• Course work or certification in Nutrition is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare balanced, family-style meals and snacks following approved menus and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen by following food safety, sanitation, and health procedures.
• Manage food and supply inventory, place orders with approved vendors, and support daily meal service with center staff.
