Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Cook to plan and prepare nutritious, familystyle meals that support children's health and learning. You will create a warm, predictable kitchen routine for children, educators, and center staff, fueling growing minds through carefully prepared meals.

You will work in a collaborative team, plan menus with nutrition guidelines, manage kitchen inventory, and maintain high safety and sanitation standards to support the center’s daily meal service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must obtain food handler certification within 30 days of hire.
• Course work or certification in Nutrition is preferred.
• Food service experience in childcare, school cafeteria, or high-volume setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare balanced, familystyle meals and snacks according to approved menus and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen following food safety, sanitation, and health procedures.
• Manage food and supply inventory, place orders with approved vendors, and support daily meal service.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Food handler certification

Nutrition course/certification
