Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking an in-person Food Service Worker to plan and prepare nutritious meals for children in our early education setting. You will follow approved menus, track attendance, and ensure meals align with nutrition guidelines.

You will maintain a clean, safe kitchen, manage inventory with approved vendors, and work closely with center staff to support smooth daily meal service. Knowledge of food safety and ability to obtain a required food handler certification within 30 days are

Qualifications

• Must pass state and company background checks.
• 18 years of age or older with a HS diploma or GED.
• Food handler certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Nutrition coursework or certification preferred.
• Food service experience in childcare, school cafeteria, or high-volume settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare balanced, family-style meals and snacks per approved menus and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen following sanitation and health procedures.
• Manage inventory and place orders with approved vendors; support daily meal service with center staff.
