Job summary

The Beaver County YMCA is seeking a Lead Teacher to assist with planning, development, and implementation of activities for our infant classroom. You will help ensure safety of children at all times and follow emergency procedures as needed.

Qualifications include PA-required options: high school diploma/GED with additional credits or hours in early childhood, or related college degree. The role emphasizes engaging activities and a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 30 college credits in early childhood or related field.
• College degree in Childcare.
• GED with 600+ hours of PA Code 3270.319 training.
• GED with 15 college credits in early childhood and 1 year child experience.
• GED with post-secondary training per 3270.31 (PA Code).
• GED with 2 years experience with children.

Responsibilities

• The Lead Teacher will assist with planning, development, and implementation of activities for our infant classroom, including gross motor and art activities.
• You will be responsible for the safety of the children at all times and must understand and implement emergency procedures as necessary.

The Lead Teacher will be responsible for assisting with the planning, development, and implementation of activities such as gross motor games and exciting art activities in our infant classroom. Being responsible for the safety of the children at all times, including understanding and being able to implement emergency procedures as necessary.

The Lead teacher shall have attained one of the following qualification levels:

• A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 30 credit hours from an accredited college/university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.
• A college degree in Childcare.
• A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate, including 600 or more hours of secondary training described in (PA Code) 3270.319 (relating to age and training).
• A high school diploma or a general education development certificate, 15 credit hours from an accredited college/university in early childhood education, development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year experience with children.
• A high school diploma or a general education development certificate and completion of a post-secondary training curriculum described in 3270.31. (PA Code)
• A high school diploma or a general education development certificate and 2 years' experience with children.
