Job summary

The Beaver County YMCA is seeking an Assistant Group Supervisor to help plan, develop, and implement activities for infant–Pre-K classrooms, including gross motor games and engaging art projects that foster curiosity and development.

You will ensure the safety of children at all times, implement emergency procedures as needed, and support a positive, nurturing environment where every child can learn and thrive.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with related child development coursework or training.
• Preference for PA Code 3270.319/3270.31 training.
• Experience with infants/preschool settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, development and implementation of activities for infant-Pre-K classrooms.
• Ensure safety of children at all times and follow emergency procedures as necessary.

Education

High school diploma or GED and 30 credits in ECE/child development/related field

High school diploma or GED with 600+ hours of PA Code 3270.319 training

High school diploma or GED with 15 college credits in ECE/related field and 1 year experience with children

High school diploma or GED with 3270.31 post-secondary training

High school diploma or GED with 2 years' experience with children

Being responsible for the safety of the children at all times, including understanding and being able to implement emergency procedures as necessary.

Pay rate: $10.25/Hour FREE YMCA Membership! The Assistant Group Supervisor will be responsible for assisting with the planning, development, and implementation of activities such as gross motor games and exciting art activities in our infant-Pre-K classrooms. Being responsible for the safety of the children at all times, including understanding and being able to implement emergency procedures as necessary.

• A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 30 credit hours from an accredited college/university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.
• A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate, including 600 or more hours of secondary training described in (PA Code) 3270.319 (relating to age and training).
• A high school diploma or a general education development certificate, 15 credit hours from an accredited college/university in early childhood education, development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year experience with children.
• A high school diploma or a general education development certificate and completion of a post-secondary training curriculum described in 3270.31. (PA Code)
• A high school diploma or a general education development certificate and 2 years' experience with children.
