Job summary

Whitin Community Center in Douglas, MA is seeking a Group Leader to assist in creating a school‑aged program that supports social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth. You will plan daily activities, supervise participants, and help with behavior management and program development.

The role requires EEC Group Leader certification, safety training, and strong teamwork and communication skills to engage families and staff.

Qualifications

• EEC Group Leader certification.
• CPR, First Aid, CORI, SORI, and a physical required.
• Ability to read, write, hear, speak and lift up to 50 pounds in an emergency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and email; strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and Diverse Learners.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children indoors and outdoors with constant visual/auditory monitoring.
• Document observations and communicate concerns to the BVCP Director.
• Plan and implement daily activities and curriculum with regular evaluation.
• Meet with parents periodically and maintain files organized.
