Job summary

A+ Childcare and Learning Center in Virginia is seeking Floaters/Teacher Aides to support all age groups and assist the lead teacher in delivering a nurturing, developmentally appropriate program. This role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass background checks; six months experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that support each child’s growth in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements for the program’s quality.
• Create and maintain a clean and safe environment for all children.
• Establish a professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Demonstrate physical ability to work around young children, including lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks. Six months of experience in a childcare setting is preferred.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday; 9:00pm - 6:00pm

Compensation: $15-16 an hour, based on education and experience

• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
