Job summary

My Little Team Texas in San Antonio, TX is seeking a floater to join our center of 18. The role is part-time and requires a current CDA; the floater supports teachers, leads activities, and helps maintain a safe, clean environment throughout the day.

You will bridge classrooms, share important information about children, adjust activities, and participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Experience in a child care setting is a must.
• CDA certification is a plus.
• Ability to develop lesson plans that meet standards.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift, bend and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work in various roles across the center.
• First Aid and CPR certified.
• Pre-service training within 24 hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor children's indoor and outdoor activities at all times.
• Keep records of children's routines and relay information to parents.
• Assist in food preparation and meal service.
• Maintain a clean and sterile environment.
• Create lesson plans and maintain a classroom schedule.
• Lead educational or recreational activities when needed.
• Assist in transitions between activities and classrooms.
• Share information about children's needs with staff.
• Be adaptable and ready to fill in where needed.
• Engage in professional development to stay current on best practices.
