Job summary

Primrose School of Arrowhead in Peoria, AZ is seeking a dependable Breaker/Floater Assistant to join our day team. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, supporting multiple classrooms and age groups while helping teachers with routines, meals, naps, and transitions.

The ideal candidate loves working with children, is patient, punctual, and eager to contribute to a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of childcare experience required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be dependable, punctual, patient, and nurturing.
• Must enjoy working with children and have a genuine passion for early childhood education.
• Must obtain CPR & First Aid certification within the required timeframe of employment.
• Must obtain a Food Handler's Card within the required timeframe of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage and support throughout the day.
• Assist teachers with daily activities, routines, and transitions.
• Support children in a safe, nurturing, and age-appropriate manner.
• Assist with meals, snacks, diapering/toileting, nap time, and other daily routines as needed.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and educational development.
• Work with multiple classrooms and age groups as needed.
• Follow Primrose Schools' curriculum, policies, and procedures.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Be a dependable and positive member of our teaching team.
