Job summary

Nest School is seeking a dynamic educator to deliver our proprietary curriculum in weekly classes and train teachers in engaging teaching styles. You will move across classrooms, modeling energetic activities and fostering a joyful, safe learning atmosphere for children and staff.

You will support families and collaborate with the leadership team on daily operations, scheduling, and curriculum resources. CPR and a CDA-related background strengthen candidacy for this role.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in teaching/childcare (Required)
• Current CDA Certificate, OR Associates or bachelor’s in education, OR degree in unrelated field with current CDA certificate
• Meet all state Nest School requirements to work with children in childcare setting
• Energetically model and participate in athletic activities, deep stretches, active songs, and fun dances
• Outgoing leadership qualities and desire to spread joy and fun to staff and children
• CPR Certification preferred
• Health & Wellness background knowledge preferred
• Fine Arts & Music background knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver Nest School’s curriculum in special classes during the week to each classroom
• Move between classrooms and work with classroom teachers
• Serve as a role model for children and staff
• Ensure quality throughout weekly classes and programs
• Provide support to teachers, children and families
• Train teachers in effective teaching styles, transitions and communication
• Participate as a member of the management team
• Assist school leadership with daily administrative tasks including opening/closing, tours, phones, coverage, and curriculum supplies purchasing and organizing
