Job summary

Nest Schools in Colorado is seeking an energetic educator to deliver our proprietary curriculum in weekly classes across multiple classrooms. You will move between rooms with teachers, model best practices, and support staff, children, and families daily.

You will train teachers in effective teaching styles and transitions, participate on the management team, and assist leadership with administrative tasks to ensure smooth program operations.

Qualifications

• 3 years of teaching/childcare experience required
• CDA Certificate or higher education degree required
• CPR certification preferred
• Must meet state Nest School requirements to work with children

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Nest Schools' curriculum in weekly classes across classrooms
• Move between classrooms and collaborate with classroom teachers

Job description

• Deliver The Nest Schools' proprietary curriculum in special classes during the week to each classroom
• Move from classroom to classroom and work alongside classroom teachers
• Serve as a role model for children and staff
• Ensure quality in weekly classes and throughout the programs
• Provide additional support to teachers, children, and families
• Train teachers in effective teaching styles, transitions, and communication techniques
• Participate as a member of the management team
• Assist school leadership with daily administrative tasks, including opening and closing procedures, touring, answering phones, classroom coverage, and monthly purchasing and organizing of curriculum supplies

Requirements

• Current CDA Certificate, OR Associates or bachelor's in education, OR degree in unrelated field with current CDA certificate
• 3 years of teaching/childcare experience required
• Health & Wellness Background/Knowledge preferred
• Fine Arts & Music Background/Knowledge preferred
• CPR Certification preferred
• Must meet all state and Nest School requirements, clearing them to work with children in the childcare setting
• Ability to energetically model and participate in athletic activities, deep stretches, active songs, and free and silly dance routines
• Outgoing leadership qualities and desire to spread joy and fun to staff and children
