Job summary

Kids First Strongsville is hiring a Cook/Dietary Aide to prepare nutritious meals for children and manage daily kitchen operations. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass background checks, with preferred kitchen experience.

Shift is Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, offering competitive pay and a benefits package. This is a family-oriented environment in Strongsville, OH with opportunities for growth and training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals meeting program requirements.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitary kitchen.
• Oversee monthly inventory of non-food items and food supplies; coordinate orders.
• Assist in classrooms by relieving teachers for breaks when needed.
• Ability to work physically around children; lift up to 40 lbs.

Kids First Strongsville is a licensed childcare center seeking a Cook/Dietary Aide!This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education.

To beQUALIFIEDfor this position, werequirea high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks. Aplusif you havepreviouskitchen experience!

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Compensation: $13 - $16 per hour, based on experience

MainJob Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparing nutritious well-balanced meals, that meet food program requirements for items served.
• Oversee the maintenance of a clean,orderly,and sanitary kitchen.
• Manage monthly inventory on non-food items, such as cups, plates etc. as well as all food items needed for the food service order; disperse groceries, food service, and paper supply order to appropriate areas of thebuilding.
• Request items within budget foradditionalequipment needed to helpmaintainthe kitchen andmealtimeson track and turnin request to theCenterDirector.
• Assistin the classrooms as needed by relieving teachers for breaks and being anadditionalsupport resource.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
