Job summary

The Learning Experience in Illinois seeks an Assistant Director to help run a childcare center in full compliance with state laws and company policy. You will assist with tours, enrollments, and daily operations while fostering strong relationships with families and staff.

You will work closely with the Center Director to ensure high-quality experiences for children, staff, and parents, while promoting tours and enrollment growth and coordinating with teams across the center.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with children at a Child Care Center.
• Pediatric CPR certification or obtain within first 30 days of employment.
• Must meet all state requirements related to criminal background check, FBI fingerprinting, and child abuse clearance prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Center Director in the operation of the childcare facility, ensuring compliance with laws, licensing, and company policy.
• Provide tours and maintain enrollments; communicate effectively to build parent relationships.
• Collaborate with center staff on day-to-day operations and family engagement.

Education

Preferred Degree or Certification in Early Childhood Education

DCFS qualifications: 21 credit hours in ECE with 3 in Admin/Business

The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Center Director in the overall operation of a childcare facility in accordance with state and local laws, licensing requirements, and Company policy to provide an outstanding experience for the staff, children, and their parents. The Assistant Director is responsible for providing tours and maintaining enrollments. Communication is essential in this role to build and foster parent relationships and collaborate with center staff on day-to-day operations.

Qualifications:

• Preferred Degree or Certification in Early Childhood Education
• MUST meet DCFS qualifications (21 credit hours in Early Childhood Education with 3 credit hours in an Administration/Business class)
• 5+ years of experience working with children at a Child Care Center
