Little People Learning Center in Danbury, CT is seeking an experienced, hands-on Childcare Center Director to lead daily operations, support staff, partner with families, and maintain full enrollment while upholding high-quality early education standards. The role requires overseeing licensing compliance, staff scheduling, enrollment management, and strong family communication.

You will work with ownership to meet accreditation goals and ensure the center remains compliant with OEC and Early

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a Childcare Director or Assistant Director
• Strong knowledge of NAEYC standards
• Experience with Early Start CT or similar state-funded programs
• Understanding of CT OEC licensing regulations
• Proven ability to maintain and grow enrollment
• Excellent parent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lead, supervise, and support teaching staff
• Experience with staffing, ratios, scheduling, and documentation
• CPR & MED CERT. or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire

Responsabilités

• Monitor enrollment, manage waitlists, and support family retention
• Build positive, professional relationships with families

Little People Learning Center – Danbury, CT

Little People Learning Center is seeking an experienced, hands-on Childcare Center Director to lead daily operations, support staff, partner with families, and ensure the center operates at full enrollment capacity while maintaining high-quality standards.

Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Pay Rate:

• Very competitive salary
• Based on experience, education, and qualifications
• Demonstrated experience as a Childcare Director or Assistant Director
• Strong knowledge of National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards
• Experience with Early Start CT or similar state-funded programs
• Thorough understanding of Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC) licensing regulations
• Proven ability to maintain and grow enrollment and keep the center at or near capacity
• Strong parent communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to lead, supervise, and support teaching staff
• Experience with staffing, ratios, scheduling, and compliance documentation
