Job summary

DTDMIDTN, Inc. is seeking a Center Assistant Director to work closely with the Director to provide an outstanding childcare experience for children and families at our center, and to empower center staff to meet company expectations.

Responsibilities include daily operations, enrollment recruitment, parent feedback handling, staff recruitment and training, and ensuring compliance with TN DHS and STARS standards. Flexible schedule and a hands-on, positive leader are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and ECE credential (college degree preferred).
• Minimum of one year experience in childcare; three years preferred.
• Management experience strongly recommended.
• Excellent written, oral and nonverbal communication skills.
• Proven customer service experience (ability to handle complaints effectively).
• High level of organization, follow-through and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Knowledge of computers (MS Word, PowerPoint, basic Excel).
• Flexible schedule (occasional night and weekend hours).
• Positive attitude and friendly demeanor.
• Ability to think on your feet and jump in to help wherever needed.
• Passion to care for, motivate and uplift young lives.

Responsibilities

• Completing daily routines that ensure the center operates effectively and efficiently.
• Recruiting and retaining enrollments of children and families, including assisting in events.
• Collecting and addressing parent feedback.
• Assisting in recruiting, hiring, training, supervision and coaching of center staff.
• Observation, strengthening and improvement of center practices.
• Maintaining compliance with TN DHS rules and STARS expectations.
• Auditing paperwork (DHS paperwork, center staff and child files, health and fire inspections).
• Assisting in classrooms and kitchen as needed.
• Supporting Director and executive management as needed.
