Job summary

Mississippi Department of Employment Security provides a full-time child caregiver role for infants and toddlers (6 weeks to 3 years). You will manage feeding, diapering, napping, and play while keeping parents engaged and informed.

The position requires a HS Diploma, experience in licensed childcare, and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Training and a supportive environment are offered.

Job description

Local employer is looking for a child caregiver with a minimum of 6 months experience. Will be attending to children at a child care institution. Will perform a variety of tasks, such as dressing, feeding, bathing, overseeing play, and learning. Days and hours to be arranged. This is a full-time position. Must have HS Diploma.

Preferred Candidate Will Have

• CDA
• Experience in licensed childcare (infant/toddlers preferred)
• Knowledge of child development and best practices.
• Abillity to lift up to 40 ibs and meet physical needs of the job.
• CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain.)
• Clean background check.
• Friendly, nurturing and patient personality.

Your role is to provide responsive, loving care to infants and toddlers (6 weeks to 3 years,) leading their daily routines: feeding, diapering, napping and play. You'll keep parents informed and engaged; documenting growth and milestones. You must be a team player with fellow care-givers and staff AND maintain a clean organized and safe space.
