Job summary

Discovery Kidzone is seeking a Classroom Hero to join DKZ West in Bozeman. You’ll work with different age groups, support teachers, and stay active throughout the day. No prior childcare experience is required, and paid training is provided.

This role offers part-time or full-time opportunities with a Monday–Friday schedule and competitive hourly pay based on education and experience. The center provides onboarding, ongoing coaching, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• No childcare experience required.
• Paid training provided.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Willing to complete Montana licensing and training requirements.
• CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support classrooms and age groups throughout the center.
• Assist with teacher breaks, classroom transitions, and daily schedule coverage.
• Support daily routines including meals, naps, diapering, and toileting.
• Engage children through storytelling, music, movement, crafts, games, and hands-on activities.
• Encourage positive behavior, social skills, independence, and confidence.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning experiences.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions.
• Collaborate with teachers and center leadership to meet classroom needs.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers and families when appropriate.

What You'll Do

As a Classroom Specialist, you'll be an important part of our teaching team. You'll help classrooms run smoothly while creating positive, engaging experiences for children throughout the center.

Your day may include:

• Supporting classrooms and age groups throughout the center

• Supporting daily routines including meals, naps, diapering, and toileting

• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning experiences

• Helping maintain clean, organized, and safe classroom environments
• Collaborating with teachers and center leadership to meet classroom needs
• Communicating professionally with coworkers and families when appropriate

What We're Looking For

You don't need previous childcare experience. We're looking for someone who is:

• At least 16 years old
• Passionate about working with children
• Comfortable working with different age groups
• Caring, patient, dependable, flexible, and organized
• Positive and able to adapt to changing classroom needs
• A strong communicator and team player
• Willing to learn and complete required Montana licensing and training requirements
• CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Previous childcare experience is helpful, but not required. Paid training is provided!
