Discovery Kidzone in Bozeman, MT is hiring an Assistant Teacher to join our care-focused team. This role offers part-time hours with growth into full-time, and a supportive environment for learning in early childhood education.

You will work alongside Lead Teachers to create a safe, engaging classroom, support daily routines, and help children explore through stories, arts, music, and hands-on activities. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years old.
• Caring, patient, dependable, and positive.
• Willing to learn and receive coaching.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days).
• Willing to complete Montana childcare licensing and training requirements.
• Previous childcare experience is a plus, but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teachers to create a welcoming, safe classroom.
• Assist with daily routines, meals, naps, diapering, and toileting.
• Engage children through stories, music, art, movement, sensory play.
• Assist with curriculum and small-group activities.
• Foster positive social interactions and independence.
• Supervise indoor/outdoor play and transitions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, inviting classroom.

Discovery Kidzone is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Assistant Teacher to join our Bozeman team! This is a part-time position with the opportunity to grow into full-time hours.

As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work alongside our teaching team to create a safe, engaging, and positive environment where children can learn, play, and grow. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with children and wants to build experience in early childhood education.

No previous childcare experience required — we provide paid training and ongoing support!

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work alongside Lead Teachers to support children throughout their daily routines, learning activities, and play.

Your day may include:

• Helping create a welcoming, engaging, and safe classroom environment
• Supporting daily classroom routines, transitions, meals, naps, diapering, and toileting
• Engaging children through stories, music, art, movement, sensory play, and hands-on activities
• Assisting with curriculum and small-group learning activities
• Encouraging positive social interactions and helping children build independence
• Supervising children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions
• Helping maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Communicating and working closely with your teaching team and center leadership
• Stepping in to support other classrooms when needed
