Child Development Schools in Richmond, VA is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher and help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. You will engage with children during activities, meals, transitions and outdoor time, observe development, and communicate warmly with families.

This role offers pay of $13–$15 per hour and full-time benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a 401(k), holidays, PTO, tuition

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

What Your Day Looks Like

Pay And Benefits

Pay: 13-15 per hour, based on experience and education.
