$15.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Description

Meadows Montessori is a Montessori School seeking an Assistant Teacher to support our Montessori Preschool Early Childhood Education Program.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require previous early childhood teaching experience and a Montessori credential 3-6. Must have 90 HOURS MD PRESCHOOL TRAINING!

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Compensation: $15 - $18 an hour based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff at all times.
  • Develop and implement curriculum aligned with American Montessori Society standards and organizational policies.
  • Create lesson plans and manage learning experiences to meet individual and group needs.
  • Maintain accurate records including observations, progress reports, assessments, attendance, and incident reports.
  • Build positive relationships with children and families, communicate developmental progress, and address needs collaboratively.
  • Participate in parent activities, marketing, and community events.
  • Engage in professional development and mentor assistant teachers, fostering Montessori pedagogy understanding.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment compliant with licensing standards.
  • Work year-round, with hours scheduled between 7:30AM and 5:30PM, including occasional outside events.
  • Physically capable of working around children, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Perform daily classroom responsibilities related to child care.
