Job summary

Chambliss Center for Children is seeking Teacher Assistants to join our team on a part-time and as-needed basis, providing care for children up to age 12. The role includes overnight shifts during the week and occasional weekends, with a 6pm–7am schedule.

Responsibilities include supervising children, maintaining a safe, orderly classroom, and collaborating with staff and families. Starting pay ranges from $11/hour (HS diploma, no prior experience) to $14.50/hour (Associate's Degree).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass fingerprint background screening.
• Childcare experience required.
• Passion for working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the care of children when on duty, overnight or weekends.
• Supervises assigned group of children indoors and outdoors.
• Maintains an orderly classroom.
• Maintains a positive and cooperative relationship with all staff, parents, and volunteers of the agency.
• Performs other duties assigned by the Lead Teacher and the Executive Director or Associate Directors of Extend Child Care.

Schedule: 6pm-7am for assigned shifts
