The instructor provides high quality health education to families before and after birth, uses approved handouts and teaching tools, and completes program paperwork as directed; part-time hours per needs.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• Associates Degree in Nursing or Allied Health
• Previous teaching experience

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality health education to family members prior to and/or following the birth of a new baby, as evidenced by satisfactory participant evaluations and comments.
• Emphasizes family centered care based on the philosophy that the physical, social, cultural, psychological, spiritual, and economic needs of the total family unit are integrated and considered collectively.
• Submits sign-in sheets, participant evaluations, and other program paperwork as directed.
• Utilizes approved participant handouts, teaching tools, and other resources as directed.
• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
