Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is hiring a full-time Child Welfare Assistant to work Monday through Friday under the supervision of the program director. The role involves performing a variety of social work, group, and outreach activities for individuals and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA Degree with two years of college preferred.
• Valid driver's license in good standing for the state of residency required.
• Access to reliable transportation for visits, meetings, and client transport as needed.
• Illinois CANTS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks as required in the written plan.
• Meet productivity requirements as established by the program director or designee.
• Provide client monitoring and linkage to appropriate services within LSSI and community agencies.
• Complete and submit all reports, billing, and documentation accurately and on time as required by agency and funding sources.
• Communicate with supervisor, work group and collateral agencies regarding individuals' and families' needs.
