Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is hiring a full-time Child Welfare Assistant to work Monday through Friday under supervision of the program director. The role involves social work, group and outreach activities to individuals and families, with a focus on providing services and linkage to community resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA degree with two years of college preferred.
• Valid IL driver’s license in good standing required.
• Access to reliable transportation for visits.
• Illinois CANTS background clearance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks as required in the written plan.
• Meet productivity requirements as established by the program director or designee.
• Provide client monitoring and linkage to appropriate services.
• Complete and submit all reports, billing, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate with supervisor, work group and collateral agencies regarding needs.
