Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is seeking a full-time Child Welfare Specialist in Danville, IL. The role provides complete casework to ensure child safety and well‑being, collaborating with families and service providers to meet standards.

Qualifications include a BA/BS in social work or related field, licensure as required, and CERAP; prior experience preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills, plus a valid IL driver’s license, are essential.

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field required.
• Background check clearance (criminal and CANTS) required.
• State licensing/certification as required by Illinois DCFS.
• CWEL or ability to obtain required.
• CERAP required.
• Minimum of one year related experience preferred.
• Training in KEEP and/or GenerationsPMTO or availability to participate.

Responsabilidades

• Complete and submit all reports, documentation, and billing timely as required.
• Participate in supervisory process for guidance and decision making; present cases for staffing.
• Coordinate with schools and healthcare facilities to promote child well‑being.
• Assess family service needs and provide linkage to community resources.
• Ensure child safety and well‑being during service delivery.
• Provide strength‑based case management to resolve challenges
• Advocacy with medical or governmental institutions.
• Support CCS Bootcamp completion and ongoing training as needed.
