Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited school of social work is required.
• Completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative is required for Child Welfare positions.
• Master's degree in counseling or human services is acceptable for related roles.
• BSW with Child Welfare Collaborative is required for specific positions.
• BSW from an accredited school of social work is acceptable for related roles.
• Bachelor's degree in a human services field is acceptable with experience.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to the Night Child Abuse Hotline and provide timely, thorough documentation.
• Assess reports of child abuse/neglect and determine appropriate actions per policy.
• Conduct forensic or family assessments with appropriate staff and agencies.
• Assist in safety planning and referrals to services as needed.
• Engage families, law enforcement, and prosecutors in joint investigations.
• Complete court filings and accompany law enforcement when necessary.
