Job Details

This position is located in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Under supervision, provides paraprofessional social services, conducts intakes, participates in treatment planning, and crisis intervention.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist clients in community resource utilization.
• Complete client intakes and maintain records.
• Counsel clients in group homes and assist with planning.
• Implement life skills workshops and behavior management programs.
• Coordinate with other social service agencies and providers.
• Maintain program statistics and monitor client progress.
• Organize community social services delivery.
• Provide crisis intervention and emergency shelter services.
• Ensure database accuracy and provide short-term case management.

Core Competencies

• Knowledge of DFCS programs and processes.
• Experience with SHINES system.
• Organized and self-motivated.
• Valid driver's license and transportation for statewide travel.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1 year social services experience.
• OR 2 years at an accredited college with 15+ credit hours in social services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in child welfare.
• Familiarity with SHINES system.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
