Job summary

Safe Children Coalition Inc. is seeking a Learning and Professional Development Specialist to design and deliver training for the Community Based Care initiative across Desoto, Manatee, and Sarasota counties.

This role includes mentoring staff, ensuring policy and regulatory compliance, and advancing quality improvement across the child welfare system. The position emphasizes developing training tools, supporting staff skills, and participating in accreditation activities to strengthen CBC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related human service field; plus a minimum of three years’ experience working as a child welfare professional.
• Child welfare training and/or supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide training to CBC trainings and develop quality improvement strategies.
• Research regulatory and accreditation standards and integrate into CBC trainings.
• Provide support, direction, and guidance to child welfare staff.
• Assess staff competency to perform child welfare services.
• Promote continuous quality improvement initiatives across the agency.
• Represent CBC to community groups and at speaking engagements.
